Music

Music connects us to our deepest emotions and is central to all our services and events. 

• Our musicians play instruments that include voice, clarinet, guitar, recorder, saxophone, flute, piano, cello and bass.
• We are led by Zach Mayer, baritone saxophonist and singer, and interim music director Lysander Jaffe. Lysander and Zach create arrangements for all abilities and experience levels.
• Our music comes from the Humanistic Jewish repertoire as well as music from many other Jewish and secular traditions. These include traditional Jewish sacred music, klezmer, folk, jazz, and classical.
• We don’t have fixed arrangements, so we can adapt to different instrumentation as needed.
